ALPENA- Shocking development! Just one day into the Quest for the Emerald, a 105.7 The Bird listener has located the Keeper of the Emerald.

 

REGINA WAGNER is the winner of $500 to spend at Bolenz Jewelry.

 

Wagner analyzed the first two clues in the contest — the only clues that were given — and they led her to a pet store, a newspaper, a print facility and, on a whim, the Alpena Chamber of Commerce, where she asked the all-important question "ARE YOU THE BIRD BOLENZ JEWELRY KEEPER OF THE EMERALD?" 

 

Alisha Bouchard, the Keeper, provided Wagner with a document verifying her identity and instructions to call Leo in the studio, which she immediately did. Leo then validated Wagner's win.

 

Wagner visited the office of 105.7 The Bird where she received her prize. A photo has been posted on The Bird's Facebook page.

 

Below is the text of the first two clues. When the clues aired, the sound of birds chirping in the background could be heard. Wagner said that is what prompted her to visit a pet store.

THE QUEST IS A GAME AND A GAME HAS RULES

I'VE PUBLISHED THEM FOR YOU AS A HELPFUL TOOL

 

Wagner said the word "published" made her think that places that offer publishing, including the newspaper, might be a good place to investigate. Wagner said after she visited several locations, asked the question, and had people respond with confused faces, she was going to go home and wait for more clues, but was passing the Alpena Chamber office and decided to stop in.
