A 'Walter Mitty' type, Joe is a jack of all trades and a master of none. He has been a trainman on the railroad, a clerk, a cab driver, a pearl diver (dishwasher), a baker, laborer, door to door insurance salesman, movie usher, fry cook, and so many other jobs that he can't remember and doesn't want to.
